4%. This is the percentage of people working for the organization who take home a pay cheque. So out of a work force of approximately 97 million there is about 4000 that have the luxury of a pay cheque. The nearest comparable, profitable, business of this size is Halliburton international, with about 70 000 employees and a seventy country operating range is about half of the space covered by the Red cross/crescent organization. What makes this feat all the more incredible is the annual operating income for Haliburton Intl. is approximately 5 times the budget of the aid organization.
