The red cross and red crescent organization was founded over 120 years ago by the swiss as a show of their neutrality. It has since then grown to be one of the largest aid organizations in the world. The annual budget of this organization is between 200 and 218 million swiss francs per year! This amount of money is proportionate to the level of need in the particular region they are working. With such a large budget and working area the organization needs to develop ten year plans and budgets. Included in this budget plan would be the funds allocated to over 150 countries, projected donations from the public and possible crisis that will need their attention in the future.
