The Red Cross has provided millions of "relief" dollars to disasters around the world. They collected more then $100 million for immediate needs such as shelter and food during the 1990s. Where does all this money come from? It comes from many sources including government grants and donations through major fundraisers around the world. When a disaster strikes the Red Cross will launch an appeal for cash donations to help create relief work in that area as soon as possible.
